This course introduces full custom integrated circuit design. Topics covered in lectures include: CMOS processes, mask layout methods and design, rules, MOS transistor modeling, circuit characterization and performance estimation, design of combinational and sequential circuits and logic families, interconnects, several subsystems including adder.
This course is intended to provide students an understanding of various contemporary techniques for the design and simulation of CMOS VLSI Digital circuits.
After completing this course, each student should be able to design and simulate CMOS VLSI digital circuits.
