Rotor
All large wind turbines have three rotor blades fixed to the main shaft.
Together these blades are called the rotor.
The length of the blades varies a lot with each wind turbine. On a wind turbine like this one a blade is 25-27 metres long. However, on the biggest wind turbines they can reach 39 metres. That is as tall as a 13-storey building! |
