Pejman Mowlaee was born in Bandar Azali, located at the southern cost of Caspian sea in Iran in March 1983. He received his B.sc. degree with straight honors from Guilan university of technology in 2005. He received his M.Sc. degree from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) with straight honors in 2007. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree at from the Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in Communication System engineering and Digital signal processing. The program was started in 2005. He is the head of the information processing research Laboratory (IPRL), where he had worked as a research assistant under supervision of Prof. Sayadiyan and Prof. Sheikhzadeh. Pejman Mowlaee has received several awards, during his academic career so far, some of them as follow,
(1) Honored with the 1st rank among all the students entranced for B.sc in 2005, (2) honored with the 1st rank among all the students entrance for M.sc. in 2007, (3) Young researcher's Award for his M.sc. study in 2006, (4) Selected as a talent PhD student with top class at Amirkabir university of Technology in 2008 and 2009, (5) Honored M.sc. thesis in the national wide contest for electrical students in the country (NSOEE) in 2007. He has been serving as a teaching assistant for several lectures including Circuit Theory II for B.sc. and teaching assistant for DSP (Digital Signal Processing) for two groups of M.sc. student and Bsc students under supervision of Prof. H. Sheikhzadeh.
His research interests include digital signal processing theory and methods with application to speech and audio, in particular single-channel separation, speech enhancement, speech coding, speech synthesis and microphone array processing. (Noise reduction, echo cancellation and DOA estimation)
1. Achieving the 1st rank amongst all entrance students in Bsc of Electrical Engineering in all semesters with straight A G.P.A. 17.11 out of 20.
2. Achieving the 1st rank amongst all Msc entrance students in Communication System Engineering in all semesters with G.P.A. of 18.11 out of 20.
3. Selected as the honored researcher for the academic year 2006-2007 among Msc student at IUST.
4. Achieving the best Msc thesis overall the country in national best electrical engineering students award.
5. Achieving the 1st rank in PhD study at Amirkabir University during 2008 and 2009.
6. Recognized as the top class in Electrical engineering at Amirkabir university of Technology till 2009 March.
7. ICSSE 2008, ICEE 2009 and CSICC 2009 reviewer.
8. Selected as Elite in the country by “National Elite Association”
