Center of Excellence on Power Systems

Objectives

The Center extends the Power Systems division on-going academic and research activities with the Ministry of Power and the power generation companies to support improved design, construction, safety and operation of the national electrical energy system. These include state-of-the-art laboratories and advance simulation/modeling capabilities aimed at both the existing and new installations. The Center has strengthened its commitment in the industry with acquisition of 14 faculty members to meet the needs of educating electrical engineering students as well as the research projects.

The center of excellence is equipped with the following outstanding research laboratories:
